February Photo A Day #7

Last Wednesday we had approximately 10 inches of snow. On Thursday the roads were not too bad so I went to work.  Then it snowed another inch while I was at work and it was blowing and cold so the snow was freezing on the cars.

Rich stopped by there about a half hour before I got off so he could warm up my car and clean the snow and ice off!

He's a good guy!!

See you tomorrow!

February Photo A Day #6

This was a selfie I took at work during the last month I was there.

It's so funny that because half of my face was covered I think it's the best selfie I've ever taken!

See you tomorrow!

February Photo A Day #5

In the Summer of 2020 we visited my son Chris and his girlfriend in Chester, NH.  This is a picture of the dining area of their house.

The whole house is like rustic/bohemian theme decorated. I really liked it.

See you tomorrow!

February Photo A Day #4

 This is Zoe

We had her for 17 years. She was the only cat we ever had that wanted nothing to do with the other cats. She spent pretty much her whole life avoiding them! She only liked us and she was the sweetest, most affectionate cat we ever owned.

She got very sick about 3 months after we moved to where we are now and we had to help her cross the rainbow bridge.

I still miss her but what I miss most are those gorgeous eyes!

See you tomorrow!

February Photo A Day #3

It's been cold and snowy here for the last month so here's a picture from warmer days!

This is the view of Lake Manuka from the porch of the Airbnb we stayed in over the summer.

If I look long enough, I can almost feel the warm breeze coming off of the lake!

See you tomorrow!

February Photo A Day #2

I've had these photos in this frame for many years.

That is Rich's mom and dad on the left and my parents on the right.

Rich's mom moved by herself from Ironwood, Michigan to Detroit, approximately 600 miles, and met his dad on the streetcar where he was a driver.

My mom was a typist in an office in Detroit and my dad was the elevator operator.

Don't they all look so young and happy?

See you tomorrow!

February Photo A Day #1

It's February and time for my annual February Photo A Day posts!

This will be my 3rd year of doing this! I was going to have a theme but I think I will just post random pictures either from my photo albums or my phone.

Let's get started!

We'll start with an old one! This is me, my parents and my brothers. Although the date on top is January 1962, this picture was actually taken on Christmas 1961. My mom birthed 4 children in 5 years so she probably was pretty frazzled most of the time! Even so, she sure was pretty!

See you tomorrow!
