Recently we lifted the mattress and box spring on our bed to clean underneath. It's where we store our card table and 4 chairs.
It was our cat Smudge's favorite hiding place when people were over that he didn't know. Needless to say, we vacuumed more cat hair up in just that one spot than we get in the whole house!
Then we placed the table and chairs in a position for easy retrieval before we put the mattress and box spring back down.

We had a big snow and Shauna and the boys built a snowman. I like how they used their Bristle blocks to make the eyes and mouth!

Although Estate Sales are few and far between right now my friend and I did manage to fine one recently. I thought this phone was very unique. I didn't think the price was bad at $10 either but of course I didn't buy it.
Empty toilet paper rolls are a great way to store charging cords and other things.
And if you're semi-organized like me, you reinforce them with clear packing tape and label them!

Every Christmas Shauna and I make cookies together and every year she gets me a cooking related ornament.

I hope you all had a nice New Year celebration! I'm happy to report that I managed to stay awake until midnight! I kept dozing off but forced myself to stay awake. The result of that was then I couldn't go to sleep until after 1:00! Go figure! My sleep issues don't care what year it is!
I don't make NY resolutions as a rule, but I did write down some things I really want to get done this year:
I will give it my best and hope my lazy, procrastinating self doesn't take over! Working doesn't help but I only work about 15 hours a week so that's no excuse!
Anyway, call me crazy but did you know you can iron tissue paper?
It's doesn't come out perfect but good enough to wrap something or stick out of a gift bag! Normally I would just buy new because it's so cheap, but I had particular colors I wanted to use so this worked out good!
