Fancy Estate Sale

The same weekend I went to an estate sale at this house.

According to Zillow it sold for $1.16 million sometime in 2025.

The front entrance was pretty.

Here's the kitchen.

This dining set was pretty.

It was priced at $1,600.

Never heard of a Rotato before.

I wonder how well it works!

This was the master suite.

The master bath and closets were closed so I couldn't get a look at them. I always like to check them out.

I liked this lamp.

Not really my style but pretty. They wanted $65 for it.

I thought these were really pretty, too.

They wanted $15 each for them. They were pretty dirty and bet they looked great when cleaned up. I really can't use any more Christmas decorations though.

Here's the random thing from this estate sale.

False eyelashes anyone? Only $2!

These tables were in the basement.

They're called tulip tables, and they wanted $25 each.

I had my eye on a few things but decided to chance it and go back the next day when everything was 50% off.

While standing in line to make my purchases I saw this out the window.

I know they are a little hard to see but its two silos. This used to be farmland of course and there is no longer a farm here. I guess they decided to leave the silos in the middle of the fancy subdivision!

Anyway, here's what I bought.

I definitely don't need another tote, but I could not resist this one with a J on it! It's in brand new condition. Also three Pyrex containers and a brand-new set of full-size sheets for our guest room bed. I already had them open and in the washer when I took this picture.

Total spent: $8.50

In other news, I stopped at another estate sale that was in a three-level condo. It wasn't good enough to post about but I thought this was interesting.

It's an elevator that goes to all three levels! It reminds me of one of those capsules that you see at the bank drive through! I feel like you would get in it, push the send button and it would shoot you up to the next level!

That's it for me for now. I'm hoping to get to a few more estate sales before the season ends.

Right now outside it's a wintery mix of rain and snow. Mostly snow. Ugh! It's too early and I am not ready for this!

Until the next time take care and thanks for stopping by!

  2. That's a crazy elevator! And again, that kitchen looks small for a million dollar home.

  4. I would really get claustrophobia in that elevator!! The first house...those rooms are not worth even a million! The rooms are small. And so is the kitchen. Plus the kitchen is so dark. Your tote is beautiful and looks like it was never used. Those tulip tables are just too weird.

  5. That's a nice looking house and you got some good deals. That elevator is pretty cool but it looks a bit cramped inside.

  7. Hello Jeanette,

You really do capture some great bargains in the estate sales. It never ceases to amaze me how people who must have paid a lot for certain things decide that they no longer want it. Still, more good buys for you!!

  9. I have a tote with a L on it almost identical to the one you got. You did well for less than 9 dollars. I would not get in that elevator.

  10. You did awesome on your purchases-- -nice stuff and not so expensive.
Um, that elevator looks shady as heck; no thanks, I'll take the stairs. 🤣

  11. Wow that house looks pretty boring to be priced at $1.6M! Must be the location, hahaha! I like your purchases! One can always use another tote! xoxo 🏴‍☠️

  12. Hello. I just came across your blog today. I noticed that the pretty dining set was priced at $1,600.

For your information, today’s exchange rate in Indonesia is around Rp 16,700 per US$1. So for US$1,600, the calculation would be:
    1,600 × 16,700 = approximately Rp 26,720,000
or twenty-six million seven hundred twenty thousand rupiah. That’s quite a fortune here

    I’m now following your blog.
    Greetings from Indonesia
