Miscellaneous This -n- That

Our Thanksgiving was very nice and very small. Lots of good food and always fun with the boys! Here are their personalized ornaments for this year.

I always try to gear them to their interests that year. I ordered these from Bronner's and personalized them myself. On the back I drew a heart and Nonnie and Bonk. Shauna told me they look forward to getting them every year!

Spotted these guys the other night when I got off of work.

There's always deer in the field next door but they usually are not close enough for the headlights of my car to hit them. Always love seeing those deer!

I cut way back on my Christmas decorating this year but of course, I put up my snowmen collection.

The one on the right with the red hat is my newest one this year.

Don't mind the crooked wall hanging. We actually have our magnetized TV antenna attached to it!

I recently got together with two of my oldest friends.

Celia, on the right, lives in Florida and has a sanctuary for older hospice dogs. She was here for her nephews Bar Mitzva. I hadn't seen her since I went to Florida for her 60th birthday 9 years ago. On the left is my friend Karen who I've been friends with since we were 7 years old! We had a great time talking and catching up for several hours!

Finally, my little friend Adrian passed away Monday night. She had been going downhill for the past few months, so it wasn't unexpected. She was 100 years old and had a wonderful, fulfilling life.

This picture is from her 100th birthday party in April. May she rest in peace. I will miss her smiling face.

Next time I'll tell you about another estate sale I went to.

Until then, take care and thanks for stopping by!

  2. Your friend Adrian was just a month older than my mother, who passed at just about 99 1/2 years in October 2024. What a beautiful woman you friend was.

Cute ornaments for the kids! And look at your "deer in the headlights" snapshot!!

  3. The boys ornaments are cute! I like seeing the deer around here too, except when they are running in front of me on the road!
Your friend was so cute. 100 years is pretty incredible.

  4. Adrian looks like she was a fun person and full of joy. The ornaments are wonderful, I'm glad you told me where you got them. That's a lot of snowmen! My favorites are the little one behind the fence and the ones that are like a folding screen.
