This next estate sale gets the record for the cheapest estate sale I've ever been to!
Here's the house
It's not for sale yet. There was a flyer inside saying it would be soon. It's a 2,478 sq. ft house and Zillow estimated it at $560,000.
One side of the driveway was lined with free stuff.
Including this grill and two faux trees!
It was the second day of the sale and everything was marked 50% off. The house was full of furniture that was very cheap!
Inside the front door was this grandfather clock. It was $175
This armoire was nice.
Look at this old Singer Featherweight sewing machine!
There was no price on it. I looked up the serial number, and it was built in 1924. I considered buying and trying to restore it but I would have no idea where to even begin!
This couch and love seat was in decent shape.
It was $30 for the love seat and $40 for the couch.
These two velvet oval back chairs
These two end tables were nice.
This small dresser.
This small end tableOnly $4
This desk and hutch.
And this dresser and mirror
$50 for both but one of the workers said they would take $25
I liked this rug.
It was $10
I considered getting this three compartment hamper.
It was only $4 but it was really dirty inside so I passed,
Here's what I got at this sale.
This bowl and small glass plate (to put under a plant)
These crystal Christmas trees for my friend Marie who collects them!
We always look for them at estate sales but rarely find them so I was thrilled to find these for her! She wasn't with me obviously!
This pretty glass cross window hanging.
Total spent! $3! The mug, bowl and glass dish were from the free stuff and I paid $3 for the trees and the cross!
In other news. We went to a bridal shower on Sunday for my niece that is getting married in July.
This was the pretty centerpiece on our table.
See you the next time!
Wow, that was really reasonably priced! You did good with your purchases.
ReplyDeleteWow, those prices are cheap. They were really priced to sell. I'm surprised there was even anything left the next day. $3 for everything you got was amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very pretty centerpiece
They were priced to sell. You did great on your purchases. I LOVE the centerpiece. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I would have picked out several times. You did great with your $3.00!!
ReplyDeleteI like the centerpiece. :-)
Man, you're not kidding. I wish I could find some of those prices here! Good shop!
ReplyDeleteThat sale was GREAT!!! When I sell things, I do as they did: price to sell. My philosophy is SOME money is better than NO money, and if the item sells, the buyer is paying ME to take it off my hands!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Good job finding those items. Wishing you a beautiful weekend.
ReplyDeleteIncredible. And they real don't make furniture like that anymore.
ReplyDeleteWow they were good prices. Somehow I missed this post till now.
ReplyDeleteWhen people really want their things to move, they price accordingly, and the prices were definitely amazing! I liked your choices as well. The bedroom furniture was beautiful! Have a blessed Memorial Day weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh!! The Singer Featherweight machine!!! OH!!! Lolol
ReplyDeleteI would have grabbed it! They go for $1000 and UP!! I have one...love it and it still sews great...
hugs
Donna
I guess they really wanted to get rid of their stuff. I think you made great choices.
ReplyDeleteI have been seeing estate sales pop-up on my facebook a lot recently. I have been saving up money from installing chain link fence. I would love to go to one of these and buy some antiques or try to flip some items.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog
ReplyDeleteWell you did REALLY good at that one! Love all the stuff you got. Speaking of stuff, can you believe how much of it there is in the world? It boggles me pirate mind ... xoxo 🏴☠️
