Christmas Porch

I can hardly believe Christmas is just one week away already. What's even harder to believe is that my shopping is done and everything is wrapped and ready! One more good thing about retirement!

I wanted to show you all this porch of a house in my town.

Every year for Christmas they put this full size reindeer pulling a sleigh on their porch! I just love it and look forward to seeing it every year.

As a matter of fact, the whole street this house is on is filled with old houses with large porches that are beautifully decorated. I will try to get pictures to show you. It looks beautiful, especially at night!

I'll be back in a few days to show you some of my favorite ornaments!

Until then stay safe and well my friends!

  7. My husband would have called that porch a veranda. It's just gorgeous, wonderful for holiday decorations and can you imagine just sitting there on a summer's evening, watching people go by. Except these days, that would probably be watching a lot of cars go by.

  10. The husband and I were talking about this very subject (Christmas decorations) a few days ago. We had to drive into town and it was glaringly apparent that the Christmas spirit is absent this year. There were hardly any decorations in people's yards and that's an oddity. We don't have one stitch up either, not even a tree. It's a different kind of Christmas this year, for sure. We're dropping gifts off at both of our adult children's houses and then we're heading back home to open them "virtually". God bless you & yours this holiday season. ~Andrea xoxo

  11. I absolutely love it!! So realistic. A Victorian creation at it's finest. I am sure glad you shared this & look forward to seeing more.

  12. Wow, I love the deer and sleigh. At first I thought it was a real deer. They must have a large garage to store it. How sweet it it though? TO have that large porch to decorate. LOVE!
