We dropped our cable a few months ago and to get our local channels we use an antenna. The one we use is pretty old and not getting signals very well anymore, so....
We stepped back about 7 decades and put aluminum foil on the antennas! It actually works pretty well until we get a replacement!
See you tomorrow!
Hahahaa...oh Jeanette...priceless!!!lolol

Well I've never heard of this before, will certainly be trying it out on mine. I have cable in the lounge but antenna in the kitchen as it was too expensive to run more cable through, but sometimes the reception isn't all that good. Thanks for the tip

We dropped cable years ago and never looked back!! Our digital antenna is perfect. (tv isn't all that entertaining anyway)
ReplyDeleteThat is crazy!
ReplyDeleteI also use an antenna along with a streaming device. Clever idea with the foil. My antenna looks like a flat black piece of plastic. It works best if it's in the window. Right now I have the tv against an inner wall so I don't get the best reception.
ReplyDeleteI wish the big guy would agree to drop Dish.
ReplyDeleteHow clever and resourceful! I wonder how this works...
ReplyDeleteI remember the aluminum foil trick! We haven't had any TV for years!!
ReplyDeleteWell, that is wonderful that the tinfoil still works, amazing! Saving lots of money too, always a win! Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteGrinning...been there and done that. We pay only $100 for cable and internet. So much cheaper here in Florida than NY. Smiles
ReplyDeleteWe are about to drop cable too. It's amazing what foil can do!
ReplyDeleteWell, that brings back memories. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't that funny. What's old is new again! Thanks for the giggle.
ReplyDeleteHaaaaahahaha now THAT'S a blast from the past! Good job! xoxo
