This year we ended up going to the same place we went to last year. Brad's cousins place in Lewiston MI
When we went last year I was getting ready to have rotator cuff surgery, was in constant pain and not able to physically do a whole lot so it was a pretty low-key vacation.
This year was a lot different!
When we first got there Lewiston was having their Timberfest. There was a lot of chain saw competition, craft shows, fire truck demonstrations. The usual fair stuff.
Max and Levi got to climb into a fire truck and wear one of the fireman's very heavy helmets!

One day we drove to Ocquoec Falls (pronounced ah-key-ahk.) It is the only waterfall in lower Michigan.
You can walk in the stream above the falls and swim in the pools made by the falls. We did neither while we were there.
It was pretty but it's got nothing on the falls in the UP!
One day we drove about an hour and a half to Traverse City. We just walked around the shops and had lunch at a restaurant overlooking the bay.
The only picture I took there was from the rooftop restaurant overlooking the bay. The water was a beautiful blue!
One day my brother Tom and SIL Debbie came to visit. They live about a hour away. Brad took us all on a pontoon ride.
They brought their dog, Rocco along for the ride too!
He enjoyed watching the other boats go by!
Brad and the boys decided to jump in the lake for a while!
They had so much fun!
It was a great week with lots of swimming and Rich and I even went out on the jet skis one day. It was my first time driving a jet ski and I loved it! There is no picture evidence though!
We had perfect weather all week! Upper 80's during the day, good for swimming and cooling down to the 50's at night, good for sleeping!
It only rained once for a little bit on the last night we were there.
This beautiful sunset was our reward!
Then on Saturday we went to Maxwell's last soccer game.
It was nice to be away and also nice to come home again!

Jet skis are fun. Those Great Lakes are so fascinating to me. So pretty. It really looks like a nice vacation for you all.

This looks like a lovely family vacation. You did all the stuff, and your shoulder wasn't hurting you. Yippee! I can't believe how tall the boys are getting--yikes.
