Misc. This -n- That

Remember this thing that I showed you in the last post?

I said I could not figure out what it was! Ann at Ann's Scrap Edit and Snap googled it and it turns out to be a miter cutting board for a baguette! I never would have thought that but it makes perfect sense! Had I touched it I would have seen that it probably was just hanging there and not attached! So thanks Ann! Mystery solved!

I recently bought a new computer desk.

I had been using a folding table all this time so it's nice to have a proper desk with drawers!

My brother posted this picture of my mom on Facebook for Mother's Day.

I have not seen this picture of her before, and it made me smile even if I did have tears in my eyes! It is so her if you know what I mean!

At work when a resident passes away one of my jobs is to break down their medical record for storage. A few days ago I was doing just that for a resident that had only been there since January. As I was looking at the copy of her driver's license, I noticed that her address looked familiar.

After a little research I realized that I was at an estate sale at her house just a few weeks ago. It was the one that was disorganized with the red walls in the kitchen! I posted about it here if you want to take a look again.

Here's my goofy azalea plant so far this year.

We cut it way back last fall and so far it has two flowers and a couple buds. We'll see how well it does this year!

Well, today is Saturday and I'm off for the next 4 days. Tomorrow is a bridal shower for my niece with a wedding in July to look forward to!

I'm hoping to get some flowers planted on Monday and Tuesday if the weather cooperates which, according the weather app, it should!

Fingers crossed!

Next time I'll tell you about the cheapest estate sale ever!

See you then and thanks for stopping by!

  5. AHA! A miter cutting board for a baguette! How very specific a tool.
I've been using a folding table as my "desk" for years. I hope to replace it, but it works for now.
It's fun/ bittersweet to see pictures of our moms. Hope you're enjoying your days off!

  6. It's the best feeling to figure something out that you don't know or just can't remember. I was carpet cleaning the other day and remembered the name of the song that has been playing in my head all day.

  8. I love when internet mysteries get solved like this , A miter cutting board for a baguette would honestly have never crossed my mind either, but once you know, it suddenly seems so obvious! Big credit to Ann for the detective work ๐Ÿ‘

And now I’m curious about the new computer desk too — nothing like a fresh setup to make everything feel a little more organized and inspiring.
