February Photo A Day #23

This is me and Rich in June 1981. We were in my brothers wedding party. I was 9 months pregnant with Shauna. The date was June 20th and Shauna was born on July 11th! When I had the dress altered the seamstress took it up at the waist instead of the hem to bring the fullness up! I actually really loved the dress and the hat too!

Until tomorrow stay safe and well my friends!

  2. Awwwwww.... what a precious picture! And your hand sweetly protecting your baby! I love it!! ~Andrea xoxo PS~ When our oldest got married, her maid-of-honor was awaiting a lung transplant (she walked down the aisle with a portable oxygen tank). She had to carry the beeper that would signal her she had to head to the hospital *immediately* because a matching lung had been found for her. So we had my adult niece fitted for a dress and "waiting in the wings" just in case. But all turned out well. The transplant waited for another 3 months and she had it without problem. Your story of the altered dress made me think of that scenario with our daughter. There's always a way around a "hiccup" in plans, isn't there. :-)

  5. You both look very happy. I was in my brothers wedding right after I had my daughter. I felt incredibly fat in the dress she picked out...lol
