On our visit to Atlantic City we noticed they had a huge population of stray cats. Someone was taking care of them, though. This is a bunch of cat houses and shelters underneath the boardwalk that stretch on along pretty much the whole thing.
Until tomorrow stay safe and well my friends.
I'm so glad someone is taking care of them, looks like a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteThat’s really strange!
ReplyDeleteHow nice that someone has done this. I wonder why they have such a high population of strays though.
ReplyDeleteWow. I hope you have a very nice day, friend.
ReplyDeleteOH, I've been to Atlantic City about a million years ago when I lived in New Jersey. The Jersey shore is pretty fabulous, I remember the waves, how much fun it was to go there. I hope you enjoyed your trip.
ReplyDeleteUgggghhhh!! As a cat rescuer for many years, I can tell you that these cats are not "being taken care of". Taking care of a cat is getting it vaccinated, getting it neutered or spayed, and giving it a good inside home to protect it from predators, fighting, and the weather. What's happening here is these cats are being provided a breeding ground... for more suffering. Very sad that local government doesn't get a handle on this. ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love cats.
ReplyDeleteBut somehow....
This doesn't seem like a good thing, to me......
They are still wild! And continue to produce more and more and more wild kittens... -sigh-

I can see the houses under there. How wonderful that the kitties have it as good as possible, seeing as they are feral.
ReplyDeleteFeeding the cats may not be such a good idea. Just more and more will come.
ReplyDeleteIf I have the area right, the cats are Alley Cat Allies’ Atlantic City Boardwalk Cats Project®
ReplyDeleteThey are trapped, neutered and returned. If you look closely at the cats they have a tipped ear indicting that they have been TNR.
You can google the name and read about the project.
Ferals! I have a late cousin (actually she was married to my cousin) who lived in New Iberia, Louisiana, and dedicated her life to feral cats. Even left money to them in her will. I just like this one cat that's sitting on my lap right now, haaahaha! xo
