I really need to come up with another title for these estate Sale posts!
Anyway, this is the second one that I went to last week. Here is the house.
I took this picture off of Zillow because it shows the location better than any picture I could take. The house was ok inside, the location was crowded but gorgeous! Oh, and it sold for a mere $1,495,000.00!
Anyway, like I said the house was nothing special inside, but they did have some nice decorations for sale.
I liked these pretty mirrored decorations. I know there is a name for them I just can't think of what they are. They were $85 for the set. The table they were sitting on was $275.
This was a pretty baby grand piano.
It's exactly like the one at work. They were asking $9,000.
I loved these pictures.
They were $200 for the set.
This sink was not as grand as the sink in the last post.
But if you know me you know I love a sink at a corner window. If I ever would build a house I would have the huge sink from the last post in a corner with a window!
It's a little hard to see but this cake stand had flowers etched on it.
Very pretty and they were asking $35 for it. I was tempted but considering I rarely make a cake it pretty much would just be another thing to store!
This was a custom-made clover shaped ottoman. I've never seen anything like it before.
They wanted $1,000. I wonder if they ever sold it. Also, they were asking $275 for the tea set sitting on it.
I think this is a spoon rest.
It was solid glass and very heavy. I think they were asking $20 for it.I thought this decanter was interesting.
Made out of a solid rock. They wanted $110 for it.
This was the view from the walk out basement.
I did not buy anything at this sale.
Although I enjoy looking at beautiful houses I need to venture further out to more rural areas where the houses are older and have more character!
I am getting tired of looking at million-dollar houses!
Hopefully the next estate sale post will be a little more interesting!
Until then take care and thanks for stopping by!
The view was nice, but the prices on those things seemed high, considering they were all a bit eccentric.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lovely home. I love the double sink in the kitchen and all the windows, making it bright and cheery. Thank you so much for visiting and for your kind comments on my blog. I post on Mondays and Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteSome of the items that were sold look pretty reasonably priced, a couple of them seem expensive but they were all lovely! Thank you so much for sharing, and I look forward to your future posts. :)
I can see how you would get sick of seeing million dollar homes after awhile. I enjoy the older homes with character as well.
ReplyDeleteAs for naming the posts how about numbering them. Or choose an item that stood out. Numbering them would give you how many you do in a year or season.
Anyway I enjoy them.
That's a gorgeous setting! Those million dollar houses always seem to have very pricey things in their sales too.

ReplyDeleteI think the decanter is so ugly. And the prices!!! I do like the ottoman and would have been tempted, but gosh this is one of the priciest sales I have seen you go to!
Wow that is some huge house but honestly I like my small house. :)
ReplyDeleteI did have a sink in the corner like that.
That is a beautiful view. The houses are a little too close together there though. They sure did want a lot of money for things in that house. I'm betting they didn't have much luck selling a lot of that stuff.
ReplyDeleteSheesh, Jeanette, I wonder if these folks sold anything at all...at those prices?! Yes, the houses seem to be close together but they usually are when situated around water. Everybody wants a bit of the lakefront. You should see the houses on Lake Michigan here. Katrillion dollar homes & they're so close you can probably hear the neighbor flush their toilet. No thanks...not me! ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy these posts. This property has an amazing view. I think this was one of the priciest sales I've seen you go to.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that a home would sell for so much with so little character. But the items you showed were pretty, although very pricey! Like you, I've practiced not buying as much any more, as I don't have anywhere to put it now. Always enjoy your estate sale posts! Blessings to you :)
ReplyDeleteThis estate had an amazing view—definitely feels like one of the priciest sales you’ve shared.
ReplyDeleteNow see, that house looks amazing to me! And like you, I do love the corner window sink! I too would include that if I were ever able to build my dream house. The mirrored obelisks really were beautiful but obviously all of their possessions were ultra expensive! I would have bought that spoon rest, hahaha! xoxo
