Since I haven't been to any estate sales lately I thought I would do a phone photo dump.
This is Max the cat, not to be confused with Max the grandson!
He's 18 years old. His favorite place to lay is the top of the recliner.
This is Coco.
She's Max's littermate and so she's also 18 years old. Her favorite place to lay is on top of the loveseat.
Because of their age they don't groom themselves very well, so they are both a little raggedy looking. We try to brush them but they don't tolerate too much of that!
We've had 7 cat's total in our life. These two are the last remaining, and although they both are in fairly good health for their age it won't be long before we will be a cat free house.
Not looking forward to the heartbreak but it is what it is.
I often drive to downtown Plymouth for my daily walk. I love to walk the neighborhoods with all the houses, new and old.
These signs have been popping up all over.
There is a church that is wanting to build 17 townhomes, 3 single homes and a new worship center on their property practically in the heart of DTP. It would increase the traffic on the street significantly and it's close to two schools.
The neighborhood is fighting it, but it may already be too late to stop it. The Plymouth powers that be have dollar signs in their eyes!
I thought this little sundial was cute in the middle of the landscaping.
Now I want a sundial!
Someone was drawing in the sky by Shauna's house.
It's been a long time since I've seen that!
Lastly, Brad's mom Sandy took all of the Lego flowers that she has built and put them into one big vase.
Isn't that pretty? The picture really doesn't do it justice. I think I would put it on a bigger table though. That's about it for me right now. Work is great as usual. Love the residents, deal with the co-workers and try not to pay too much attention to the administrators!
LOL! In the end that place is no different than any other corporation!
Next week we are going up to E. Tawas to visit my brother and sister-in-law.
I'll tell you all about it next time!
Until then take care and thanks for stopping by!
When our last cat died Hubby and I said we were done. Several months later we were fostering :-)
ReplyDeleteI love elderly cats and dogs. There is just something about them. I don’t believe I would want a cat- less home. I’ve always having them as part of my family.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your photo dumps.
It seems that no matter where you live, they are trying to build and fill any extra land. Not a fan of that!
ReplyDeleteThe Lego flowers look great all together like that.
I like that sun dial too. We have a little one, I think it needs to move to be seen better.
Have a great trip!
The Lego flowers look so real!! But they do need a larger table. I loved seeing your kitties. We have had 6 cats. None now.
ReplyDeleteOh my word, that Lego flower arrangement is impressive.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww....Max & Coco! Bless their sweet hearts. Max looks exactly like I feel most days, I swear! :-D That Lego flower arrangement is stunning. My goodness, I've never seen anything like that before. Is the church trying to build housing for their congregation? I've always dreamed of living next to a church I attended, so I could walk to church. But I totally understand about the "urban sprawl". Ugh! Enjoy your visit with your brother & SIL. Can't wait to hear about it when you get back. Safe travels. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteHello! Your cats are beautiful and very regal. The Lego flowers are incredible. Absolutely. Have a cozy evening, and stay cool!
ReplyDeleteImpressed with the Lego flowers.
ReplyDeleteThat's why we moved to rural MD, not many people and lots of land.:) Like the sundial!!
Love seeing your sweet cats. It's so hard when they leave us. I didn't want another one after Jet died but TBG and the universe had other plans and we have Binx. I don't regret it at all.
ReplyDeleteThe Lego flowers are awesome. I love that but yes, I agree it would look better on a bigger table.
Enjoy your trip and Summer.
Your kitties are cute, they are seniors too, so you spend a lot of time with older folks. 🤣 I love those lego flowers---so darn pretty!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip.
Aww! Such sweet old kitties! I know what you mean...our Buddy (dog) is now 15 with a heart condition. I hate those sad times coming...
ReplyDeletehugs
Donna
Those Lego flowers are amazing! Have a safe trip.
ReplyDeleteDidn't want to comment on my own blog for fear of family members seeing it, Jeanette. We had a *horrible* 4th of July "family" get together. It's a long story but the components are: youngest adopted daughter & her "boyfriend". We've never had a family gathering ruined before, especially by one person, but there's always a first for everything! :-( Love you, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe Lego flowers are incredible and yes they need a bigger table! Ugh I love cats and I know it will be heartbreaking for you when Max and Coco are no more. My cat Sweetness is about six and a half years old and I hope I have her for another fifteen years! Rizzo my rescue dog is nine and he does show some slight signs of age but I take good care of him. I'm always telling him that he can never leave me! Aren't sundials fascinating? xoxo
