After months of no Estate Sales worth writing about I finally went to one that is worth telling you about!
Actually, there has been a lot of estate sales this summer but most of them are farther than I am willing to go. I usually won't drive farther than a 10-mile radius from my home.
Anyway, this house was about 6 miles away.
Here's the kitchen
There was a Kitchen Aid mixer.
These little LeCreuset crocks.
These paintings were also $15 each.
Lots of food in the pantry.
The picture does not do this justice, but this 3D Clue board was really cool!
Those are not pictures of the rooms, they are actual little rooms! They were asking $80 for it. Above my budget plus I have nowhere to display it, but I really, really loved it!
There wasn't a lot of furniture in the house, but I noticed that the closets were full of clothes and shoes, handbags, belts, hats etc.. Even the closets in what clearly was children's rooms. Lots of little clothes and shoes. There was even a couple boxes of diapers. Kind of gave me an uneasy feeling!
Then I saw this sign in one of the kid's closets.
I like to think that wherever they went for 7 months they just decided to simplify their lives and stay there!
Anyway, here's what I bought.
This sling bag.
Two small containers full of sewing things and a small cutting mat.
This box to store my hair doo dads in.

Whoa...that is kind of creepy...the stand mixer is like the regular price. I wonder who lived there etc., what happened to them, etc. Thanks for sharing, smiles.
ReplyDeleteThe purse has a pretty strap. I love the bay window in the dining room. But for this money, the kitchen is not nice enough. It needs updating. I would probably have bought your sewing things, too.
ReplyDeleteYou have good estate sales there, not so much here. I really like your bag! And the invitation is very cute.
ReplyDeleteYou got some good deals.
ReplyDeleteLove the 3D Clue game board.
Omg on those paintings 🤣
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good estate sale! What a beautiful home! I would have been tempted to get that Kitchen Aid mixer if it was in my budget. Wonder where the people are moving to?
ReplyDeleteNot bad for $15
ReplyDeleteThat puzzle would have been awfully tempting but way too much. I like those types of puzzles.
Lovely photos. Great finds.
ReplyDeleteYou found some good items and at a great price too. The price on that Kitchenaid mixer seems a little high considering you can buy a new basic one for less than that.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cool party invitation.
Lots of goodies at this estate sale. I'm glad it was close enough to your house so that you could go, Jeanette. I wouldn't have paid $300 for that KitchenAid but I must admit it was one of the higher end "professional" ones. Looks like a 7-qt bowl with a splash guard attachment...and I'm guessing the owner had more extra attachments to go along with it. Just the mixer & 7-qt bowl would cost $549 on sale...then you have to add the attachments, which are not cheap. $300 does seem a bit expensive though, for "used". If it would have had a $200 price tag on it, I'd say it was a real bargain. I'm so glad you found some treasures! Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteDamn. We need to know the backstory of this seven-month trip! And why leave all their stuff? Food? SO MANY QUESTIONS!
ReplyDeleteI just bought a KitchenAid mixer as a bridal shower gift, and it was only $80 more than the used one here. Hmmmm...
A QR code for a party? Well, that's new.
Interesting. It does seem like they just decided not to go back to their $2M home.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am LITERALLY laughing about the drywall mud "paintings"!
Hello! Wow. This was interesting! Would you believe I have never been to an estate sale? I will have to pay better attention! Have a nice evening, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThat 3d Clue is really cool. I have never been to an estate sale. Sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteThe 3d Clue is so cool. You got a lot for your 15.00. I have the same scissors and I love the charm. Now I'm wondering where they were for 7 months and what did they spend on the plaster paintings and why.
ReplyDeleteWow you made out good!
ReplyDeleteGood purchases! I like that house. I am wary and sick of QR codes, hahahaa! I don't like all the techy stuff very much ... xoxo
