February Photo A Day #28-Estate Sale!

I figured for my final post instead of just one photo I would grace you with a bunch of photos from an estate sale I went to recently!

I didn't take a picture of the outside of the house because I wasn't really planning on doing a post on it but there were some nice and interesting things so I started taking pictures.

I thought this turkey platter was very nice.

It was marked $20 but everything was 50% off because it was the last day.

This doll was so pretty.

She was holding her baby. The price marked was $25

This doll house was so cute.

All wrapped in saran wrap! It was marked $150 for all.

I have one of these 45 record holders from when I was younger.

It was filled to the brim with records. See what's on the lower right? A Kazoo! Remember those?

I don't ever recall seeing a spinning wheel at an estate sale before!

It was marked $85

These jars were filled with pasta noodles!

They were marked $14, $18 and $20. No thanks!

This is part of the kitchen in the finished basement.

All the drawers and cabinets were filled with sewing, quilting and crafting supplies!

This must have been her sewing station in the basement!

The sales lady said she made beautiful quilts and that they were all sold!

There were closets full of really nice clothes, most of them Talbots.

None were my size though!

Here's what I bought

A bunch of pretty fabric and two patterns for bags! Total spent: $5

Well, that's it for another February Photo A Day! This time I was right on top of it and had posts ready to go at least a week ahead of time!

I hope you enjoyed these posts as much as I enjoyed doing them!

Until the next time take care and thanks for stopping by!

  5. Thanks for all your lovely photos this month of February. Oh those turkey platters - I remember when everyone had one. Yuck on the bottles of pasta. Way too expensive plus how old is the pasta???

  6. A spinning wheel!! Has to be one of the most unusual items ever at an estate sale. I had one of those record cases, too!

  9. Great job doing the photo a day, I enjoyed it. I love the turkey platter but I've promised myself that I will not buy any more one trick ponies. It has to be useful in many ways.

  11. What fun to browse such a lovely estate sale. I loved the dollhouse, something I'm sure my granddaughters will want someday, but that is a hefty price. Seems like the prices were a little extravagant. Glad that you found some things you could use!
