Estate Sale

This is the latest estate sale house that I went to.

It was built in 1981. It wasn't currently for sale but Zillow estimated it's worth at $621,000. The house was very outdated and also very dusty inside!

This was the second day so everything was 30% off.

Here's the kitchen.

Not real big but the rest of the house was huge! Here is the family room/dining room.

This was the master bedroom.

Yes, that is the ceiling beam laying on the bed!  You can see above where it used to be!

Master bath.

Love the large sunken tub! Although it's hard to tell in the picture the bathroom had that shiny silver wallpaper!

There were some interesting things.

This kid-sized chair was so pretty! It was priced at $50.

I thought this would be cute in a little boy's room.

The sign says, "This is a set. Cowboy hat, saddle, chaps, vest, rope and fence" There was no price on it.

This picture might be a little disturbing.

This one even more so!

They were asking $10 for each of them.

This Givenchy perfume set was interesting.

It was priced at $60

There were a couple vintage kimonos.

They were priced at $800!

This hand painted cake plate was pretty but a little overly painted in my opinion!

It was $25

This geometric design bowl was interesting.

It was marked $15. See how dusty everything was?

I'm not sure what this was supposed to be. A pie plate? Serving dish? It was about the size of a dinner plate.

It was priced at $20. I thought about buying it, but I don't really have a use for it. If bought everything that I liked or that caught my eye my house would be filled to the brim!

I didn't buy anything at this sale.

It was fun walking around it though! Hopefully the next sale I go to will have some great bargains!

In other news, today is our 49th anniversary. I actually have to work but we'll probably go somewhere nice for dinner on the weekend.

Until the next time take care and thanks for stopping by!

  3. Good grief, this is the weirdest house you have shown yet!! It really makes me wonder about the people who lived there. It would be so much better if the rooms were a bit smaller and the kitchen a lot bigger. Blogger has been making me anonymous, so this is Ginny.

  6. Happy Anniversary. WOW on the price for those kimonos. The art work I would definitely pass on. Not my style at all but obviously they liked it.

  9. Happy 49th anniversary to you!!! Wow! I know you will have a special time celebrating. The estate sale looked interesting, but I can see why you didn't really find anything of interest. It is always fun to look and browse around though! I am looking forward to that season again here :)

  10. That's a hefty price point for a Home that needs so much Updating and Work. If it was Vintage in the best possible way then it would be worth it... but it would be quite the Project and who wants to pay that much for a Project and to have to invest mebbe another Hundred Grand or so to get it fixed up? Yikes. Happy Anniversary, quite a Milestone. The Man and I Celebrated 37 Years on the 18th. I've never attended an Estate Sale coz pawing thru the possessions if the Owner is Deceased just kinda feels intrusive to me, but Friends who go always find the best stuff.
