My latest estate sale adventure was at this house:
It's a 3,778 sq ft house that recently sold for $691,000! Real estate remains ridiculous!
I didn't really take pictures of inside the house but there was some interesting things I thought I would show you.
This was a wine cork holder.
I thought it was pretty neat and if you drink a lot of wine than it's a great place to keep the corks. I don't. I think I have maybe 5 wine corks in my possession! It was marked $14 and it was the first day so there was no discount.
This serving tray was so pretty
It was $30.I liked these bird wall hangings.
They were $12 each. I really liked them. I should have gone back the next day to see if they were still there because they probably would have been discounted but I didn't. Regrets, I've had a few!
There were several boxes of Madame Alexander dolls.
They were $12 each. That's less than they probably paid for them when they were bought.
This picture tree was pretty.
I can't imagine trying to fit little pictures in it though. It was $20
In the basement there were tons of empty cigar boxes
This is just a couple of the areas.
There must have been 200 of them scattered throughout the basement. There was no price on them. Someone was a cigar aficionado!
And here's more proof
Huge jar filled with cigar bands! It was priced $30. I don't know. Are they collector's items or something?
There were a few pretty nativity sets.
I liked this one, but I already have a nice nativity set from Home Interiors.
$12
It was $30
This wolf picture was pretty cool.
$25
Lastly, I don't know what this is.
I wonder if it has anything to do with cigars? $255
This is the only thing I bought at this sale.
We have an old plastic tool box that has screws and nuts and bolts and nails and other misc. stuff in it. I figured we could use this to organize it a little better.
Total spent: $1
In other news: The boys had their last day of school on Wednesday,
Next year 3rd and 4th grade! I can't believe how big they are getting!
That is all for now!
Until the next time take care and thanks for stopping by!

That container with the cigar bands is interesting. Seems a crazy thing to spend money on but people must collect them!
ReplyDeleteThe best pic is the one of the boys. So cute!
The boys are so cute. How exciting for them to have a summer off from school. I remember how long a summer was when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteThat person was a collector - wine corks and cigars. It must be a "guy-thing"
I love the looks of that house. I want the front porch...lol I know the cigar boxes are good for crafting with I don't know about cigar bands. Google said that machine was an antique pedal operated scroll saw.
ReplyDeleteOur schools here ended right before Memorial Day, unbelievable the end of the school year already. The boys are just a growing, smiles. Wishing you a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteI liked the things you shared from the sale, especially the wall art. And the boys are growing up quick. Hard to believe they’ll be in 2nd and 4th already.
ReplyDeleteCigar boxes and bands galore! Maybe they're collectibles, I wouldn't know. That machine looks like something to do with fabric or spinning yarn?
ReplyDeleteYour grandsons are so cute.
Your grandsons are precious!
ReplyDeleteI loved the delft Nativity and probably would have bought it.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind having a few of those cigar boxes but wow they sure have a lot.
Wow! Love the tree frame.
ReplyDeleteYour gizmo is a treadmill scroll saw. cigar bands, I never! And the cork holder...the corks would fall through the big openings! The boys are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI think people collect all kinds of things. Remember match books?
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to know how much they wanted for a few of the cigar boxes. I have one from my grandfather. They make great storage containers.
Happy summer to the boys! I am always intrigued by the things people have and collect.
ReplyDeleteI like the tree frame.
ReplyDeleteI would have purchased the delft Nativity.
High Fives to the boys, may they have a fun summer.
Carla
I liked seeing what you found.
ReplyDeleteThe bird wall hangings were nice, and the nativity sets too.
The jar of bands was unusual, I guess someone really collected them.
Your $1 organizer was a good buy.
The boys are adorable!
I like that wolf pic. So handsome. All these are so charming.
ReplyDeleteI don't know from cigars or their bands, or wine or the corks, but I thought that old piece of machinery is some kind of a loom, hahaa ... but Ginny is right; except, it's a treadle (not treadmill) scroll saw. The delft nativity set would have gone home with me. Max and Levi are so grown-up looking and getting more handsome by the day! xoxo
