There are two species of the cannabis plant, Hemp and Marijuana. CBD is a compound derived from the Hemp plant. Full spectrum CBD contains only trace amounts of THC, less than 0.3%. There's also broad spectrum CBD which does not contain any THC. Marijuana contains 10% THC which is what makes the user high. CBD gives you all the benefits from cannabis without the high. It's not used recreationally like marijuana.
So I don't work at a marijuana dispensary, only a store that sells CBD products. Although, I am and always have been in favor of legalizing marijuana and would gladly work at a dispensary if that job would have come along!
Until the next time stay safe and well my friends.
I know nothing about any of it!
ReplyDeleteMy son educated me a few years back about CBD. He enjoys marijuana and he does use CBD oil on some aches and pains with good relief. Arizona legalized marijuana as of January 1, 2021. Its funny to see how many dispensaries have popped up around town. I think the cutest one was in a building that used to be an old restaurant with a diner type look to it. They repurposed the building for the dispensary, which I always like when something is repurposed as opposed to building a new one. There was a job available here to be a bud tender. It paid well and was a Monday to Friday day job.

Wow, this is confusing, and hard for a senior like me to remember. Looks like you've got it down pat, though!! I had wondered about all of this, not really knowing how CBD fit in. Now I know it comes from Hemp.
ReplyDeleteAh, interesting. Thanks for clarifying it. smiles
ReplyDeleteLegalizing it state wide, just for one viewpoint,...look at the revenue from taxing this could bring in
ReplyDeleteBack in 2012 I opened up a CBD online store for northern California called Shasta Hemp. Now here I am in the emerald triangle, and Facebook wouldn't allow me to advertise my store. I tried to explain but to no avail. They finally blocked my website - or any other I came up with that had the word, "Hemp" in it.
ReplyDeleteNow we're 2021 and it's all over now. Celebrities are now promoting its benefits. Frankly, I prefer the marijuana edibles and topicals with just a tad of THC. For my pain level, it works well. I used to sell hemp pens and those were good until everyone got on the bandwagon about vaping.
I haven't sold anything like that for a few years now. It was fun while it lasted. I even got to go to the Cannabis Cup in Denver for 2 years. It so happened that my sister lived in Denver so it was the perfect time for me to attend. Interesting products.
I'm still going to think of you as "selling pot", Jeanette. It's more fun that way! Just jivin' ya, kiddo. Love ya~ Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteOne of the girls at work has a side gig selling cbd products with her daughter.
ReplyDeleteYes, of course! They are different! -smile-
ReplyDeleteYou are in favor of legalizing marijuana....? Have you read "Tell Your Children:..."?

It's interesting, to say the least...
My son keeps tries to explain the differences, I still get confused.
ReplyDeleteCBD stores are springing up all over the place here in Tennessee.
Heard, understood, and acknowledged! I am in favor of folks using marijuana if they are sick and it helps them to feel better. We have a friend for whom that was the case, and I am thankful that he found the help he needed. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI suffer from Fibromyalgia and would surely use it if it was made legal here.
ReplyDeleteI take CBD from time to time to help me go to sleep. It works.
ReplyDeleteI know people who benefit from CBD and some who benefit from the main source. You are going to do great!!
