February Photo A Day #25

This is our niece, Ann and her husband Todd. Ann is Rich's sister Judy's oldest daughter.

When Rich and I started dating she was only a year old.

Two years ago today we lost this beautiful soul to metastatic breast cancer. She fought it for 7 years with more courage and grace than I have ever seen in any one in my life.  And that is no exaggeration. She was only 45 years old.

There isn't much more to say except how much we miss her.

See you tomorrow.

(My own mama died of mets breast cancer in 1971 when I was 14 years old; and then 40n years later, my stepmom died of the exact same cancer in 2012, so my dad buried two wonderful wives because of the same thing.)

  11. Oh dear, you brought tears to my eyes with this one. Many years ago I had a dear precious friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 38 years old. She fought valiantly for eight years and passed away in 1996, at the age of 46. How I still miss her! Your niece was a beautiful lady. May she rest in peace. xoxo
