Halloween House

Before I get into my neighbors Halloween house, I wanted to show you another miniature that I have using my hand for scale.

Does anyone remember the miniature Tupperware bowl key chains they used to give out? I think it was supposed to be used to carry change on your key chain. I had one that I put change in and one day noticed that all that was left was the top! The bowl and my change were gone! Then they changed the design a little to put the chain on the bowl instead of the top I managed to get my hands on another one! I never used it though because I didn't want to lose one again! Isn't it cute?

Now on to my neighbors house.

They do this every Halloween and people love it! They even have a fog machine, but they don't turn it on often because it fogs all the way out into the street!

Not everyone loves it though. The owners put on the park Facebook page someone stopped and said, "Ghetto, ghetto, ghetto!" Some people just have to be rude!

Maxwell and Levi are scared to even walk by it!

In other news, I bought a cheap wreath for $5 at the dollar store to put on our shed door.

I think it's cute!

See you the next time and thanks for stopping by!

  1. I have not heard of these mini Tupperware. Wow, this house was a lot of work! wonder how many hours they put into it? The Trick-Or-Treaters will go wild! People need to leave their mouth shut if they have nothing positive to say!

  2. Oh I remember the miniature Tupperware. They used to only available to the Reps. Wow some people really go all out and I just walked by one display at Home Depot and those decorations costs several hundred dollars - so not at all cheap.

  5. I think I do remember those tupperware bowls. I neve had one though.
Your neighbors goes all out. I would hate to have to take all that down and pack it back up. That was rather rude of someone to make that comment. If you don't like it just keep on going.

  6. I remember the key chains. I think I had one from a party that I attended. Wow on your neighbors decorations. I especially love the ones on the roof. I have to admit my first reaction was where do they store all of that?? lol So many people are just so rude and self centered.

  7. OK so, we have a neighbor (actually about a mile away but TG rides his bike by there every day and talks sometimes to the homeowner) who does the most incredible Halloween yard I have ever seen. This one you picture is pretty great but my guy has five times this much in his yard. It looks just like a cemetery, with the great big Grim Reaper and that same awful winged thing up on the roof of his porch, and two massive skeletons flanking said porch ... it's funnier than it is scary, although the winged thing is pretty hard core. I don't understand the way people get into Halloween these days but I do like a few humorous decorations and this year I did buy a skeleton for the apple-green bench in front. I think skeletons are hilarious. I don't know why, hahaha xoxo

  8. The little Tupperware key chain is cute. Your neighbors put a lot into their Halloween decorating. It's too bad people think it's okay to be so rude.

  9. I had forgotten about the little Tupperware keychains until you shared about it. Really something from the past! Your neighbor really gets into the spirit and goes all out. One of my neighbors got full size skeletons and dressed them and put them on bikes on his lawn- people are so clever. Have a great week.

  10. How I loved everything Tupperware. The keychain is super cute.
I'm not a huge fan of scary decorations (like your grandsons) but I understand how people really get into it this time of year. The clown must go though---I'll have nightmares about that. LOL!
