Catching Up

Summer seems to be flying by and I just seem to be working it away! At least we have another long weekend coming up!

Saw this sign on a car the other day. 

That pretty much sums up this election year!

I find this statue in the medical campus at work slightly disturbing

I think its supposed to represent Adam and Eve because she's holding an apple but really, I have no idea!

Mid Week Catch Up

My neighbor finally got her patio finished. 

They kept telling her they wanted to make sure it didn't rain even though there was no rain in the forecast!

Anyway, it's very nice! Worth the wait I think!

Saturday we went to Shauna and Brads for Fathers Day. 

Chris hurt his back at work so they weren't able to make it. We had a nice time with Shauna, Brad and his parents. 

We've had beautiful, warm days lately and I've been going out into the courtyard during my lunch breaks  

Today I took a secret picture of this person laying on the grass. 

Sometimes I kind of want to do that myself!

Weekly (and a half) Catch Up

Well, I have good intentions anyway!

Anyway, two weeks ago my next door neighbor Sue had her wooden deck ripped out with the intention of having a cement patio put in. The salesman asked our permission to take the fence between our properties down so they could fit their equipment  in. We said sure of course. They promised for only a few days. They came in, took the fence down and prepared the area for the cement. 

That was almost two weeks ago and they haven't been back since! We don't care about the fence but Sue is fit to  be tied!

It's got to be 4 feet across. It sure must love that spot!!!

I took a panoramic picture of my office. I don't know how well this will show up. 

It looks nicer than it really is! 

Well that's all I have for the moment. 

Going to Shauna and Brads Saturday for Fathers Day. Chris and Marissa will be there, too. Always a fun time!

Weekly Catch Up

Not a whole lot happened this week. Managed to get my flowers planted last weekend. 

I usually only buy one flat and just plant a few pots around the property. 

I had about six plants left over so I turned this cinder block over, filled it with a little dirt but mostly peat moss because that's all I had left and stuck them in there. 

I don't know if it's the location or the peat moss but these are doing the best of all the flowers I planted!

This is my peony

It gets such beautiful big flowers but they are so top heavy they fall over! Plus we had storms and heavy rain which didn't help!

Lastly this is my clematis

It's doing great this year! My goal is to get it looking like this though. 

This is at a house around the block from me! Gorgeous!!!!!
