Vacation Part 1

Well, after keeping you all in suspense (lol) about our special vacation we are home, and I am ready to reveal that we went on a family cruise!

It was me and Rich, Shauna, Brad and the boys and Brad's mom, Sandy. Chris and Jenna were unable to go unfortunately.

We went on an Eastern Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Our ship was called the Wonder of the Seas and a wonder it was!

But, I'll start at the beginning. We flew into Orlando on Saturday the 18th. We always fly in the day before just to be sure there is no stress as far as being able to make the ship on time.

It was fun flying with the boys for the first time.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency right at the airport.

I didn't take a lot of pictures at the hotel. It was cloudy and windy and very humid.

These pictures were on the pool deck obviously!

Here's what impressed me the most about the hotel.

The time magically appears on the mirror in the bathroom! Other than that, it was just a hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable so that's about it.

We had dinner and walked around the airport for a while just to kill time until we had to go to bed.

This was one of the displays and I swear he looked so real I was expecting him to move!

That's it for this post. On the next post I will tell you all about the ship!

See you then!

Oh one more thing... Shauna and I had pedicures two days before we left. It happened to snow that day and so this was a first for me.

Flip flops in the snow!

  2. Perfect time of the year for the Caribbean. My husband refuses to ever go on a cruise, so I have to live vicariously through others. Aren’t those displays crazy? They had one at the Fort Lauderdale airport last year.

  6. Oh how fun. A girl I worked with loves going on cruises. She's been on two so far and has another one planned for next year.
How cool is that mirror with the time displayed in it.
I thought that guy in the display was a real person. He sure does look life like.

  9. Oh how marvelous! So wonderful to have this fun family getaway in the winter! I'm glad you had such a wonderful time, and enjoyed your time away. Manicures and flip flops in the snow are nice in the winter when you know you'll get to enjoy in warmer climates! Blessings to you!
