Wednesday Stuff

Friday I went to a couple of estate sales. One that I just walked through and left; one that I bought a few small things at. The pickings were slim!

Got my new treadmill delivered and set up in the afternoon. It's great and I really love it. Well, as much as one can love a treadmill anyway! The only problem was that the front is much bigger than my old one. The TV that I watch while I am walking sits on a old stereo, not really very high.

I can hardly believe I'm posting this picture for the whole world to see! Please pretend you do not see the dust, ok? Thank you! Anyway, that was too low and walking on the treadmill, I could barely see more than the upper half.

We needed something higher for the TV to sit on. Something that would be sturdy and not too much money. I was thinking a chest of drawers would work good, be high and sturdy enough. We didn't want to spend a lot of money so Saturday, we decided to go to IKEA and see what they had. Good Lord! That place was extremely busy!! We drove around and around the parking lot and could not find a spot. Finally we ended up parking next door at ABC Warehouse.

We found a good one at a good price. They only had the light wood one but I really didn't care either way. Took it home and put it together and now my TV is the perfect height and I have somewhere to store our winter sweaters too! Win-win!

The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful. Sunday night into Monday it snowed about 6-7 inches. Pretty, but I am so over snow!

This is our backyard about a hour ago:

I cannot wait for Spring!

#2 Love the new chest; it looks great.

#3 The snow is SO beautiful, but I can certainly see why you'd be glad to have it gone!

Good for you on the treadmill. You're a better woman than I am. :)

Have a great weekend; it's almost here for you!!

  2. Congrats on the new treadmill and tv stand! A girl HAS to have a little diversion while she exercises, LOL! And it is spitting snow here again in TN. Everyone is really griping about this winter!

  3. I find it extremely that you, whom I have never met, and my grand daughter both have the same FB friend. Talk about Six Degrees of Separation--you and I are practically relatives! HAH
Hey--the chest of drawers looks great. I have something like that--when Fred moved in here, he stored his bedroom furniture, but I rescued the chest of drawers--which matches my table top and use it as a storage unit in the kitchen. Looks like is belongs there! Win-Win

  5. I agree you have to watch something while you are on the treadmill! I just got an eliptical and I watch Good Morning America when I do it in the morning, it makes the time go by so much faster and I find it better to do my exercise first thing in the morning or I'll talk myself out of it. I'm good at that. LOL I'm ready for Spring too!
